How to Design Denim Jeans Type Background in Photoshop

Today we will design a great looking denim type dark blue background in Photoshop. This is a very easy tutorial and will hardly take 10-15 minutes.

Final Preview

Before I start the tutorial, let’s see the final image of the background pattern that we will design in this tutorial.

Step 1:

Create a new document of size 600 X 600px and transparent background.

Step 2:

Fill the layer with #233a58 color.

Step 3:

Set foreground color to #233a58 background color to #112135

Step 4:

Apply Halftone Pattern
Filter -> Sketch -> Halftone Pattern..

So, it looks like this now.

Step 5:

Now apply noise.
Filter >> Noise >> Add Noise

Use distribution type Gaussian and 3% amount.

Step 6:

Apply Film Grain filter.
Filter >> Artistic >> Film Grain..

So, it looks like this now.

Step 7:

Apply Gradient overlay from Blending Options.

Done!!
